IgG fraction of hyperimmune serum

The lgG fraction of hyperimmune serum produced by long-term immunization is purified by a combination of salt precipitation and ion-exchange chromatography or affinity chromatography on Protein A-Sepharose using FPLC.

Monospecific reaction of antibodies is guaranteed by negative immunoadsorption chromatography which removes cross reacting antibodies and antibodies directed to impurities of the antigen used for immunization. Purity of the lgG fraction is higher than 98 %.

IgG fractions of hyperimmune serum samples are well suited for immunoprecipitation and agglutination but also for labelling. IgG fractions of hyperimmune serum samples are sterile filtered and contain 0.02 % thimerosal as preservative.

Storage: 2 ... 8 °C, aliquots –20 °C
Stability: 12 months at 2 ... 8 °C, 5 years at - 20 °C

Repeated freezing and thawing contributes to loss of antibody activity and should be avoided.
